Private lessons can only be booked 30 days in advance. Once booked, a private lesson can only be canceled or rescheduled by contacting the front desk. Canceling and rescheduling is only possible up to 24 hrs before the private lesson start time. Lessons canceled under 24 hrs before the start of the scheduled private lesson will be charged the full price of the lesson. 

Private lessons are in 1/2 hr slots ($47 per 30 min) and are used to teach students a dance for their annual assessment and/or to work on specific elements of the syllabus that a student needs more help with. 

Privates are necessary to prepare students for their assessment. You will find the recommended number of privates on your dancers mid-year Progress Report as well as your dancers level and teacher. Dancers should take their private lessons with a teacher they are taking their level technique class from/teacher who wrote their progress report. 

Dancers in Levels 7+ please double check that you are booking a private lesson in the appropriate studio. Your assessment involves pointe work and, unless told otherwise by a teacher, please make sure that you are booking studio A or B.  

If your dancer has been suggested by their teacher to have a private lesson to prepare for their level assessment, we encourage you to schedule private lessons as soon as possible. Private lessons are essential to make sure your dancer is properly prepared for their assessment and/or is proficient in their level.
